RENO, Nev. (AP) _ A Reno man northern Nevada law enforcement agencies says may have been responsible for 100 area burglaries has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Joseph Lerma, 31, was sentenced by Washoe District Judge Connie Steinheimer to up to 10 years each on three counts of burglary. He pleaded guilty last fall.
Steinheimer ordered the sentences to run consecutively. Lerma must serve seven years before he is eligible for parole.
Authorities say Lerma was arrested in 2007 after he was identified as a suspect in numerous daytime burglaries. He was arrested in Fernley after detectives followed him and watched as he burglarized an unoccupied home.
He faces sentencing in March on that charge in Lyon County
